Boat Testing on Swallow Falls

Dave picked up a new Everest yesterday, and I was keen to try out the large Burn, so we headed to Wales with the hope of a little rain. As we pretty much expected the rivers were low, but it was raining just enough to make getting changed annoying (and for me to get rain on my camera lens).

After looking at fairy falls and deciding the glen was too low we got on above Swallow Falls on the Llugwy. We clambered down the middle to paddle the second half of the top drop and then the second drop, before retreating to Bewtys-y-Coed for pasties.

We only paddled 100m, and drove nearly 200miles, but was a good day out: It certainly beat sitting infront of my computer in Manchester.
